Must ensure state regulatory compliance, control severity (through accuracy and productivity) and manage expenses in achieving company goals. Provides team leadership which may include employee training/development and licensing, effective feedback/coaching through performance management and ensure "Best in Class" service to customers and clients.
Responsibilities
* Provide leadership to a team of medical technicians who are responsible for the support needs of claim adjusters handling injury claims across the pip, med pay and casualty lines. This includes entering of medical bills into bill review software, requesting medical records and independent medical examinations/peer reviews, issuing payments and other tasks as assigned.
* Ensure team member compliance with state regulations.
* Provide feedback, coaching and skill/knowledge development through strong performance management practices.
* Oversee the appropriate distribution and assignment of work tasks within the team to ensure lead times are met.
* Assign level of authority for each team member.
Required Qualifications
* 3-5 years of relevant experience.
* Experience with scheduling and coordination of daily work tasks for a team of hourly staff members.
* Ability to coach and develop staff.
* Strong organization skills.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work demonstrating a high degree of accuracy; strong attention to detail.
* Ability to obtain state specific property casualty claims licensing as required.
Preferred Qualifications
* One or more years of experience in leading a team of employees either directly or indirectly.
* Thorough understanding of (multiple) state regulatory requirements related to personal lines.
